I ordered the Lodan vest after watching the vid Andy posted. I was looking for a well made wool vest that would not only keep me warm but would be something my grandkids could wear someday I was not disappointed! The garment is as warm as you would expect and the fit and finish are top notch. But the customer service amazing!
I was leaving town for a few days and afraid that the package would end up on my front porch and “develop legs” and wander off to regions unknown. So I called BMA and Andy answered the phone. When I explained my concern he offered to hold the package for a few days to insure that it arrived after I returned. When the box came it had “hold till Wednesday” written across the corner. Try to get that kind of service from other outfits.
Delighted to try the garment on I buttoned it up and to my surprise one of the wooden buttons broke in half. I realize that accidents happen so I was not angry, but thought this is a great time to find out the true extent of their customer service. For my money how a company responds to a problem is what sets them apart, because every company has the occasional glitch.
Anyway, I called BMA the next morning - right in the middle of the east coast getting a major winter storm and Andy answered the phone from his chalet where he was checking on storm damage and waiting on a tow for his stuck snowmobile. He was very apologetic and said that when he got back to the office the next day he would send out a couple of replacement buttons and some thread. Yesterday the buttons arrived. With all that was on his mind to make sure he took care on my issue was very impressive.
This review has gotten long, but if you are considering a wool garment I don’t believe you can do better than BMA. I plan on ordering again.
